About Us

Emily Dewhurst launched Kitchen Press in 2011 with the Parlour Cafe Cookbook. Collaborating with chefs and restaurants to create beautiful illustrated cookbooks, the company has carved out a niche celebrating some of the great and innovative talent working in restaurants today.

Previous to a career based on eating and editing, she has worked between the worlds of music and publishing, from submissions editor for Canongate Books to a stint running festivals and music development programmes in Scotland, via some long distance cycling and setting up Deep Freeze Recordings with her husband, Dicky Trisco.

Emily also sits on the judging panel for Dundee International Book Prize.
